10 November 1620 - 17 October 1705
She is called "une femme complete" (a complete woman), she has beauty and brain, she is free minded and full of vitality, she loves and she is loved, she writes and she writes beautifully. As a prolific letter, she has written many letters to Marquis de Sevigne, which was edited and translated into the book called Life, Letters, and Epicurean Philosophy of Ninon de L'Enclos, which alone is enough to establish her as an aclaimed writer.
