Day 1 of Queen Letizia of Spain with her husband King Felipe VI of Spain's royal visit Japan to pay visit to Japan Emperor Akihito and Japan's Empress Michiko.
The red coat worn by Queen Letizia of Spain is custom made for her by her favorite Spanish fashion designer Felipe Varela, featuring fitting silhouette with standup collar inspired by traditional Chinese and Japanese costume and front tie closure. Her burgundy silk dress underneath the coat was also by Felipe Varela.

Queen Letizia arriving at the Diplomatic Corps reception in the Throne Room of Royal Palace, Madrid, Spain to received distinguished guests and high-ranking officials.
Queen Letizia wore a velvet floor length skirt featuring side fabric wrapped buttons on a satin band that runs along the skirt. The skirt was custom made for her by her favorite designer Felipe Varela.
She paired the maxi skirt with a Hugo Boss off-white silk satin silk shirt with two layered standup collar decorated with fabric buttons, and a pair of velvet court shoes matching the color of her skirt.

Event: Queen Letizia and her husband King Felipe VI, together with their two daughters celebrate three milestone anniversaries centered around Covadonga and its vicinity; that of the 13th centenary of the origins of the Kingdom of Asturias, the Centenary of the Catholic Coronation of the Virgin of Covadonga, and the 100 year anniversary of the establishment of the Montaña de Covadonga National Park.
The red dress worn by Queen Letizia was custom made by Carolina Herrera, a long sleeve knee length sheath dress featuring a keyhole neckline, an inset waist and tonal piped seams.
Letizia matched her dress with Magrit Kares clutch in custom made red suede and Carolina Herrera nude patent leather slingback heels.
